We run Beginners courses which are designed to teach the basic skills of archery in a friendly and enjoyable way. You don’t have to be sporty or athletic because “Archery is the sport for all”.

The course will be run over two weeks in two, four-hour sessions. All the equipment you need will be provided for you.

At the end of the course you will have been taught to shoot a recurve bow with reasonable skill, confidence and the essential safety requirements to protect yourself, and others, from harm. You will also be introduced to the other bow styles, traditional longbow, compound bow and others.

All courses are run in accordance with the Archery GB requirements and guidelines.

The course will be led by a qualified Archery GB Level 2 coach and supported other coaches and experienced archers.

Course Dates:  We are currently in the process of reorganising the club after Covid so our summer course dates are yet to be confirmed.

The course will be run over two sessions during which we will give you lots of opportunity to discover if archery is the sport for you, you do need to attend both to pass.
